The residential MS MasterClasses are specifically designed to advance your skills in MS. Two courses are available:

1. Non-specialist MS MasterClass

– Module 1: 7-9 June 2017, Sheffield
– Module 2: 12 January 2018, Sheffield

This course is for non-MS specialist neurologists, final year registrars and junior registars. It will advance your understanding of MS through taught sessions and mentorship (a mentor will be appointed for each participant). Attendees will learn about developments in MS and the skills needed to look after MS patients in the general setting across the full disease course. This course will be awarded CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians.

2. Specialist MS MasterClass

– Module 1: 22-24 November 2017, Sheffield
– Module 2: 15 June 2018, Sheffield

These courses are for consultants training to be MS experts to learn how to set up or work within a specialist service. The course will advance understanding of MS through taught sessions and mentorship (a mentor will be appointed for each participant). Attendees will learn about developments in MS and the advanced skills needed to look after MS patients in a specialist setting across the full disease course. This course will be awarded CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians.

How are the courses taught?

The courses are taught through a range of learner-centred methods including formal lectures, interactive workshops, and an intermodule project. Additional seminars and learning opportunities will be undertaken more locally with your mentor and through distance learning. Learners must complete an intermodule workplace service project during the si month break before returning to Module 2 to present their findings.

What will it cost?

The courses are fully funded which includes accommodation on the nights during Module 1 and if required the night prior to the course. Your travel grant will be discussed once your application has been approved.
